Follow-Up Automation in AI Agents
One of the biggest real-world use cases we face is that 20–30% of leads are not ready to book right away, but ask to be followed up at a specific future time (e.g. “contact me in 2 months” or “call me after the holidays”).
Currently, the only workaround is to create custom tasks, tags, and nurture workflows in GHL, which requires a lot of manual setup and makes it hard to scale across many agents and clients.
What we need:
A native solution where:
The AI agent automatically understands when the lead requests a follow-up at a specific date or time.
The agent stores that date/time internally.
The agent automatically re-engages the lead at the agreed-upon time, without requiring manual tagging or separate GHL workflows.
Why this matters:
It solves a very common scenario (20–30% of leads).
It removes friction and manual work, making scaling much easier.
It ensures no lead falls through the cracks, improving conversion rates significantly.
How it could work:
Agent detects follow-up intent and parses the requested time (“in 2 weeks”, “next month”, “October 12th”).
Agent schedules an internal follow-up task directly in Appointwise.
On that date, the agent automatically sends a follow-up message or re-enters the conversation flow.
This feature would be extremely valuable for agencies like ours who run multiple agents and need a reliable, scalable way to manage long-term nurturing without complex manual processes.
Thanks for considering – this could be a game-changer for many of your customers.

Very much agreed! Having to go through each conversation manually to check for dates and set custom tasks every time can be quite exhausting
